✅ What is 받침?

Batchim is the consonant that comes at the bottom of a Hangul syllable.

It’s part of how Korean syllables are built:

  • Cho-seong (initial consonant)

  • Jung-seong (medial vowel)

  • Jong-seong (final consonant / bat-chim)
